Congratulations! 2025-2026 SDRC Disability Ally Award!

Nine years ago, the Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) began the tradition of recognizing outstanding staff, faculty, and departments who have gone “the extra mile” in support of students with disabilities on the UCR campus.

This year, Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology has been selected for the 2025-2026 Outstanding Disability Ally department award, for your department's exemplary support. Congratulations! Please know that nominations came directly from UCR students. The student nomination was for the EEOB department but also specifically highlighted Dr. Katie Burnette, Dr. Saige Pompura, and Tao Hernandez Arellano.  Your department and members are recognized and appreciated for the assistance and consistent advocacy you provided for students with disabilities to ensure they receive accommodations, services and are treated equitably, with dignity and respect. We know we can always count on you!
